I have begun a new series of sculptures entitled "Green Motion". They combine the natural, site-specific environment with modern technology to achieve effects such as light and movement. The art form has roots in eco-art though the applications is somewhat different. Too often we forget that the people who we create art for may want to connect on a more fundamental level. A way to achieve this with great effect is to be able actually glimpse function through motion or change.

Hope you don't mind me commenting (I found this trying to find out more about the meaning of your name). I wanted to tell you this is beautiful, as is the story of your childhood. Dane and I feel that much more excited about getting to know you and your family. On a side note, Kahli (our 13 y.o.) has such a love for the arts also. Actually, she was chosen to intern at the UMO art museum this summer. I'm sure she will be delighted seeing your work.
